Since its founding in 2015, Opus Chamber Philharmonic has grown into a flexible artistic platform working across orchestra, opera, chamber music, and cross‑disciplinary productions. What began as a chamber‑based initiative in Oslo has developed into an ensemble with a distinctly international outlook, shaped by collaborations with musicians, singers, directors, and cultural institutions across Europe.

Each project is shaped by its own artistic needs — whether it takes the form of a symphonic program, a chamber opera through OPERA OPUS, or a collaborative performance that brings together different artistic disciplines. At the center of this development is conductor Vegard Nilsen, whose artistic direction emphasizes clarity, expressiveness, and a collaborative approach to musical leadership. His work spans opera, symphonic repertoire, and interdisciplinary projects, and his artistic vision continues to guide the ensemble’s long‑term evolution.
